Martin Insurance Group, LLP (MIG) is a proud 40+ year legacy headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 1985 by military veteran Ted Martin, MIG was built on a foundation of service, integrity, and dedication to helping employers and their employees navigate the complex world of employee benefits. Through Ted’s servant minded leadership and commitment to doing what’s right, MIG quickly became one of the region’s largest independently owned employee benefits consulting firms.

Ted’s son, Taylor Martin, came on board back in 2012 and learned the company from the lowest entry level position up. Taylor assumed the role of CEO in 2020, and following Ted’s passing in 2025, continues to lead the firm with the same dedication, care, and client-first values that Ted instilled from the beginning. Under Taylor’s leadership and with the support of MIG’s full-service administrative and compliance team, the firm continues to grow by upholding its tradition of delivering concierge-quality service backed by expertise and technology.

MIG specializes in employee benefits, risk management, and compliance consulting. With the clear goal of helping employers save both time and money while reducing liability and administrative burden. From ACA and HIPAA compliance to benefits administration and HR education, our team partners closely with clients to ensure their benefit programs remain compliant, competitive, and easy to manage in an ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Our Leadership Team

Taylor M. Martin, BA, REBC | Chief Executive Officer

Taylor Martin is a graduate of Texas State University with a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. He is a State of Texas licensed Life & Health agent with over a decade of experience in the employee benefits and plan administration industry. He earned the professional designation of Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC), which is one of the highest forms of recognition in the health insurance industry. Taylor’s early years in the industry was spent undergoing extensive training in agency operations to include the overseeing of all the account management customer service duties for our client groups. Fast forward and Taylor has now assumed the position of MIG’s CEO and now successfully mentors and leads employees while tending to his sales & marketing duties to our growing brokerage. All while continuing to manage, service, and consult with clients in the same hands-on, relationship-driven way his father (our Founder) taught him —upholding the level of care and personal attention that clients have come to expect from Martin Insurance Group. Taylor is a wellness & exercise advocate, who uses his commitment and self-discipline style of thinking in his everyday work to produce high quality results for our clients. Taylor has a wife and two daughters, whom he loves spending time with when not at work. His other interests & hobbies include weightlifting, golfing, and target shooting. He is someone who believes in long term friendships, commitments, and trust.

Elizabeth Luker Martin | Chief Financial Officer

Elizabeth is a State Licensed Agent and the Chief Financial Officer for Martin Insurance Group. As one of our agency’s principals she is involved in several facets of our agency’s financial management by working and collaborating in planning strategies with our firm’s president & other company officers on an on-going basis. When she is not working she enjoys traveling, interior design, and spending time with her grandchildren and two puppies.

Crystal J. Jarrett  | Senior Account Manager

Crystal is one of our military veterans that Martin Insurance Group is proud to have as part of our leadership team. Crystal served 12 years with the United States Navy and was deploy overseas with her unit. Although she joined us green to the insurance industry, her wealth of life and service to others experience has helped her learn and excel at an impressive rate. Fast forward 7 years and she is now licensed and manages some of Martin Insurance Groups top key clients, delivering high level prompt service. Crystal is a people person that takes great pride in her work and delivers high quality results in all she does for our brokerage and our clients. When Crystal is not a work, she prides herself in being a Mom and spending time with her three beautiful children and her husband.

Veronica Morales | Account Manager

Veronica was originally hired as a temporary employee to assist with our busy season in 2020. In only a few short months we quickly realized the positive impact she was having on our team, so we made her position a permanent one. Her God given talent for assimilation and a sincere desire to help others, allowed us to provide fast track training and mentorship. In only a few short years MIG’s leadership training, coupled with her upbeat demeanor and positive attitude, resulted in an uplifted addition to the MIG’s ‘total’ service team. Furthering the quality of service that our clients have learned to expect. When Veronica is not at work, she spends time with her fiancé Ben and their “fur baby” Hazel.

Monica Martin | Business Operations Manager

Monica plays a key role in MIG’s continued success. She manages the firm’s back-office bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative functions while also assisting Taylor with trade shows, business expos, and client meetings. Known for her hands-on approach and willingness to step in wherever needed, Monica helps the company run smoothly day to day. When she’s not supporting the business, she is a devoted mother to the Martins’ two daughters, an avid reader, and a passionate fan of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) fitness classes.

Ted Martin

Ted Martin founded Martin Insurance Group, LLP in 1985 with a simple mission to serve others with honesty, integrity, and genuine care. A U.S. Army veteran, husband, father, and Christian man, Ted built MIG from the ground up with those same core values at the heart of everything he did.

With decades of hands-on experience in employee benefits, underwriting, and plan design, Ted quickly became known throughout Texas as the “go-to guy” for trusted guidance and practical solutions.

His consultative approach and deep understanding of both employer and employee needs helped countless businesses design benefit programs that truly worked for their people and their bottom line.

Ted’s leadership style was grounded in service. He believed that doing what’s right for the client would always lead to long-term success. His ability to listen, teach, and collaborate with his team and carrier partners set a standard of excellence that continues to define Martin Insurance Group today.

Ted passed away in July 2025, surrounded by his loving family. His legacy lives on through the company he built and the many clients and colleagues whose lives he touched. Every day, we honor his memory by carrying forward his vision — to serve with compassion, professionalism, and unwavering integrity.
